Product Information

The D5 pump motor is a powerful pump engine that has to be completed with a suitable housing. The electronically commutated spherical motor features extremely smooth operation and a long life. 
A PWM signal can be used to control pump speed, alternatively the pump speed can be controlled by supply voltage. Additionally, the pump generates a speed signal for monitoring.

Important: The Aqua Computer D5 pump has an optimized PWM input and can be used with any Intel PWM standard compatible fan controller. This pump can be used with aquaero 5/6 PWM fan outputs without any heat dissipiation at the aquaero. All other currently available (as of January 2015) D5 pumps with PWM input use different hardware that will not work correctly with the PWM outputs of aquaero 5/6 devices. This pump is compatible with nearly any PWM fan controller on the market.

Scope of delivery:
1x Aqua Computer D5 pump motor with PWM input and speed signal

Please note:
A suitable housing is required for operation, not included in delivery. The pump electronics are not water proof and must not get in contact with coolant, no submerged operation!

Note:

Due to their design, many newer motherboards are no longer compatible with this pump. This can be recognized in that the pump runs at full rotational speed or at a constant minimal speed, despite the motherboard requiring a higher/lower speed, or in that the pump does not start up at all. This problem can be solved by:

1) no longer connecting the signal cable to the motherboard, so the pump runs at full rotational speed

2) using adapter cable article number 52124 and connecting the pump to a fan control

Does this D5 pump follow PWM specification and can be fully controlled be the aquaero 6 fan controller?

There are two official PWM specifications wich are not really compatible to each other. But Aqua Computer is always checking the compatiblity of their own products. So, don`t worry, the pump will works over PWM with your Aquaero.

I wanted to purchase 2 of these pumps for a dual loop set-up. I already own an aquareo 6 but all 4 fan headers are being used. Is there anyway to hook these up to the aquaero 6 without using the 4 fan headers so I can control the pumps individually. I was looking at the powerjust modules put they have no pwm output. Keep in mind I really do not want to use any motherboard headers.

The Aquaero 6 has two separate 4-Pin PWM pump connectors next to the four 4-Pin PWM fan headers. .

Kann man die Pumpe über jeden beliebigen PWM Steckplatz am Mainboard anschließen und in Aquasuite regeln oder benötige ich dazu ein Aquaero und lässt sich die Pumpe dann da drüber auch mit Spannung betreiben statt PWM?

Die Mainboards bieten PWM Steckplätze an, erkennen aber leider nicht zwingend die Pumpe als solche und die Pumpe läuft nicht wie gewünscht, dazu gibt es in den bekannten Foren mehr Informationen zu. Jedoch eignet sich die Pumpe nicht für die Spannungsregelung an.

Benötige ich irgend etwas um diese Pumpe direkt über das Netzteil mit Strom zu versorgen während man das PWM Signal über einen Aquarium 6 steuert, oder sind die Anschlüsse schon darauf ausgelegt?

Die Stromversorgung erfolgt bei dieser Pumpe über einen normalen 4-Pin Molex Anschluss direkt über ihr Netzteil.

Wenn ich diese Pumpe mit dem Aquaero 6 LT verbinde, erfolgt das via PWM Steckplatz oder Aquabus? Da ich einen Highflow Durchflusssensor auch anschließen will und dieser die Aquabusschnittstelle benötigt, müsste ich ansonsten ja ein Aquabus Y-Kabel zusätzlich bestellen?

Diese Pumpe wird normal über den PWM Steckplatz angeschlossen, nicht über die Aquabusschnittstelle.
